John Johnson is an artist/philanthropist/entrepreneur
He founded Eyebeam, an art and technology center in New York City; the Screenwriters Colony and is a co-founder of BuzzFeed. John currently serves as Chairperson of Pacific Foundation, which funds innovation in the arts, environmental practice and social justice. He and his wife Susan Short own the Harmony Hotel.
His passions include designing contexts for creative culture, meme tracking, surfing, opensource anything, permaculture and monkeywrenching the powers-that-be.
John is a Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute
