WILL ADLER: FOG HORN
Fog Horn | Travers Adler from Mollusk Surf Shop on Vimeo. I stumbled upon this little video by photographer Will Adler and fell in love. Funny, unexpected and unusual, it’s as much a film about failure as it is about success. Enjoy!

TCOLLA: NEW YORK SURF PHOTOGRAPHER
I met Long Island surfer Tommy Colla (who photographs under the name tcolla) a few years ago when he picked me up from a parking lot on Long Island so I could buy a board from him. As we drove a few miles to the closest ATM, we chatted. “I’m a photographer,” he told me. […]

HALLOWEEN PARTY TO BENEFIT NYC SURFRIDER FOUNDATION
What’s the most frightening part of being a New York surfer in ‘off season’? Taking a chance on water that’s untested for harmful bacteria. During the summer months, when beaches are protected by the city, the waters are tested regularly and notices are posted on days when the ocean is deemed dangerous (luckily these posts […]

Surf SurvivalCosta Rica

Still time to sign up for the Harmony Hotel’s Surf Survival Camp that begins August 3. Another great beat down story from the contest. A HUNDRED TO THE END: SURF AFTER STROKE
After John Beattie suffered a stroke one winter morning, he was convinced he’d never surf again. For the life-long surfer (he learned when we was 13), the thought of a life without waves was a real loss. In order to process the loss (and celebrate the surfers he saw in the water), he picked up […]
