The Bali-based artist Ashley Bickteron has a show opening this week in New York at lived in New York in the 1980s, and made work that was then classified (perhaps unjustly) as “Neo-Geo.” By 1993, he left the US and traveled around the world, mostly surfing and finally landing in Bali.
