Never thought too much about Singapore until I recently read about this beautiful hotel that has combined futuristic architectural design with organic details and yes, a four-story tall sky-garden with cascading vertical greenery. WOHA architectural firm executed the “hotel-in-a-garden” concept within a city that is striving to be “a city in a garden.” Who knew?
From Elle Decor:
How does your garden grow? At planted with shady trees, plants, flowers and hanging foliage—and incorporating waterfalls, reflecting pools, and birdcage-shaped cabanas—hug the sides o the ultrastreamlined towers. From the interior, each floor appears to sit in the middle of a lush landscape. WOHA architects has designed more than 160,000 square feet of outdoor garden space, but the vegetation doesn’t appear only on the exterior. Inside the hotel, the lobbies and hallways are strewn with plantings and stepping stones that evoke the serenity of an Eastern zen garden.
