after getting off to a rocky
start ( Max barfed right after we
woke him up at 330AM! ) the car
that took us to the airport, was
on time and fine etc although our
travel date was pushed back by
one day due to snow storm that
never materialized. the fact that
the airline sent us emails well
after the fact is another story,
somehow it was up to us to deal.
that. I called the front desk at
the Harmony in a panic- could we
stay an extra day?? we’re arriving
a day later than planned. The
person I spoke to said “everything

for some time I had been walking
around NYC thinking about how
excited I was about going to the
Harmony with Liz and Max- there
really was no way to know what
was in store for us. I had been
to the area before, but not since
the Harmony is what it it is, and
I had never traveled with an 18
month old before… there were
omens, like this mural…

No… Just Tammy making a trip to
the gas station to fill up her
quad. The bandana’s to keep away
the dirt-road dust that gets
kicked up by all the cars.

She took me along; the entire
trip was unreal. Not much rivals
riding on the back a quad
(although I imagine
monster-truck-driving ranks
pretty high).

when you’ve just arrived at
Harmony and find a room with a
vast bed waiting for you. I guess
it’s been about a year
since my last visit. I got in
this afternoon, after a bit of a
turbulent plane ride into
Liberia, and then a very nice car
ride in. I’d forgotten how dusty
the roads become.

Some old faces, some new faces.
Who’s around? Tammy? Maria
Jose? Come find me and say hello!
John & Susan, are you back?
