whether or not it’s better than it ever was, isn’t exactly the point- the point is to keep the board in circulation. there’s loads of boards around and rather than getting a new one ( unless it’s from me of course!) is sooo not resourceful. so, the board has been jammed together and glued. now peel all the old glass off that is at all loose. the new resin won’t adhere to old resin with wax etc on it. peel away the old stuff and rough up where there’ll be a connection with sandpaper. find yourself some fiber glass- ideally 27 inch ( ie made for surfboard fabrication) and if possible get S grade, not E, ( s is structural , e is electrical) 4 oz. weight, maybe some filler like old foam , or glass bubbles or ground up glass to fill the deep holes before you continue- photo show board together with old glass peeled away on nose section, foam exposed…
