Green Thoughts” — April 24th in NYC — is the opening event to the PEN World Voices Festival of International Literature; authors will be reading passages about the environment and natural world as portrayed in fiction.

Writers scheduled to read include Jonathan Franzen, Salman Rushdie, and Billy Collins, who wrote the killer poem, “Paradelle for Susan” — Collins has said it’s a bad-poetry spoof, but it just always reads to me as a heartbreaking breakdown? Perhaps I’m willfully misinterpreting..

April 24th, Tuesday, from 7pm - 8:30pm, Cooper Union Great Hall. Tickets here.
