One of the highlights of my visit was a culinary one -definatly worth a stop especially if you are travelling over-road to Liberia - this seemingly ageless spot for local food was really special, locals also call it the tortilla factory. It is in Santa Cruz and you will have to ask the locals how to get there, you sorta drive through town and its on the far end just after the main bit with the shops ends. They had a number of stews, soem veggies, and the most amazing fresh baked tortilla’s. The women there made us plates with lots of variety so we could try it all and it was simple, tasty and filled with good vibes - happy eating

This sounds delicious. How do you get there? (For my next trip over…) Can you just ask for the “Tortilla Factory?”

Wow, Lee. I will head over there in a few days when I’m back in CR. Which side of the road was it on? Were there any distinguishing signs or something to let me know its near?

Hey John - there will be photos up by tommorow which will help you out - as I remember its at the end of the main road through town, part of the fun was asking folks how to find it - but it’s not crazy hard to find by any means, especially if you print the photo and show it to someone, make sure you try the potatoes!!!
